JAMB Opens 2026 Direct Entry Registration, Sets April 25 Deadline for Applicants

Nigeria’s tertiary admissions body, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has officially commenced registration for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission process.

The examination board announced on Monday that the sale of Direct Entry application documents began on March 2, 2026, and will close on April 25, 2026.

The announcement was made via JAMB’s official X (formerly Twitter) platform.

“2026 Direct Entry Registration: This is to inform the prospective DE applicants that sale of application document has commenced today Monday, 2nd March 2026 and will end by Saturday, 25th April 2026.

Please, note that this service can be accessed only at our offices nationwide.”

Registration Restricted to JAMB Offices

JAMB clarified that the Direct Entry registration process will not be conducted at third-party centres. Instead, applicants must visit designated JAMB offices across the country to complete their registration.

Direct Entry admissions are designed for candidates with advanced qualifications such as National Diploma (ND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or Higher National Diploma (HND), seeking admission into Nigerian universities without sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
