The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), in collaboration with the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), has rescued three people in two separate road accidents that occurred across Lagos on Wednesday.

According to preliminary findings, the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, skidded on the rain-soaked road while speeding. The impact left him unconscious after his chest struck the steering wheel.

LASTMA officials quickly called in LASAMBUS, whose emergency team revived the victim before transferring him to a nearby hospital. Officers from Bar Beach Police Division also secured the scene.

Another accident was recorded at Volks, inward Abule-Ado, where a speeding Coaster bus (NCA 118 XB) collided with a Mini bus (FKJ 118 XB). Eyewitnesses reported that the Coaster bus, despite the heavy downpour, lost control and rammed into the smaller vehicle.

Two male passengers sustained serious injuries and were rescued by emergency responders with LASTMA support before being taken to GMC Hospital, Ilaje, Abule-Ado. Police operatives from Ojo Division maintained order during the rescue.
