A man has been charged with the historical rape of a 14-year-old girl in west London more than three decades ago.
Barry George, 65, is accused of attacking the teenager, who is now in her 50s, between 6 and 12 September 1987. He also faces two counts of indecent assault, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
Detectives said the alleged victim has been receiving ongoing specialist support.
Mr George, from County Cork in the Republic of Ireland, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 29 October.
Det Supt Andy Furphy said: “Officers continue to support the woman.”
The Met has not provided further details about the case ahead of the court hearing.
