Metro Train Accident in Jos Claims Life of Woman at Bukuru Terminal

Jos, Plateau State – Tragedy struck the Bukuru Terminal Station on Friday morning when a woman, identified as Salamatu Ahmad, was fatally struck by a moving metro train.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ahmad attempted to board the train while it was already in motion and tragically missed her step, resulting in an immediate death at the scene.

One witness, Nasiru Alhaji Baba Tsoro, described the incident: “The train was already moving when the deceased tried to enter it. She was hit and died on the spot.”

Security personnel and emergency responders arrived promptly, secured the area, and launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities have appealed to commuters to exercise caution when boarding moving trains and urged compliance with all safety protocols to prevent similar tragedies.
