NDLEA Nets 39 Suspected Drug Dealers in Rivers State Raids

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 39 suspected drug traffickers across Rivers State in a series of intelligence-led operations targeting drug hotspots.

The suspects were apprehended with various illicit substances, including cannabis, tramadol, and other controlled drugs, according to NDLEA officials. The raids were part of ongoing efforts to curb narcotics distribution and consumption, particularly among youths in the region.

Rivers State has been identified as a critical area due to rising concerns over drug-related crimes, prompting the agency to intensify surveillance and enforcement measures.

NDLEA confirmed that investigations into the suspects’ activities are ongoing and that they will face prosecution upon completion of legal procedures.

The agency urged members of the public to cooperate by providing actionable intelligence to aid future operations, reiterating its commitment to dismantling drug networks nationwide.

“Rivers State remains a focal point for our anti-narcotics campaign. We encourage residents to provide useful information that can help the agency sustain this fight against drug abuse,” NDLEA officials said.
