Ned Nwoko compares monogamy to “standing on one leg” amid marital crisis with Regina Daniels

Nigerian senator and businessman, Ned Nwoko, has sparked social media debate after claiming that having only one wife is like “standing on one leg.”

The Delta-born politician, who is currently embroiled in a reported marital crisis with his fourth wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, made the controversial statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today with Seun Okinbaloye on Sunday night.

Defending his polygamous lifestyle, Nwoko argued that men are naturally built to have more than one wife.

“Just imagine asking someone to stand on one leg — you know how difficult that is,” he said. “But it’s more balanced to stand on two, three, or four. I feel sorry for those with one wife. I don’t have any regrets, and I will do the same thing again.”

His comments come amid growing speculation of a separation between him and Regina Daniels, following allegations of domestic abuse.

In a viral video earlier this week, Regina accused Nwoko of physical assault — a claim the senator denied, instead accusing the actress of substance abuse.

Adding fuel to the rumours, Regina shared a photo of herself standing on the balcony of what appeared to be a new house on Sunday evening, captioned, “I needed a roof over my head.” The post has intensified speculation that she may have moved out of their marital home, possibly relocating to Lagos.

The couple, whose relationship has long drawn public attention due to their age gap and lavish lifestyle, are yet to issue an official joint statement regarding the state of their marriage.
