New Era for Imo Women Elite Club-USA as Members Celebrate Nkemdi Onyirimba’s Re-election

The Imo Women Elite Club (IWEC), USA, has ushered in a new era of leadership and renewed purpose following the re-election of its founding president, Mrs. Nkemdi Onyirimba, during the club’s 2025 convention held at La Quinta by Wyndham Manassas, Virginia, USA.

The high-profile gathering brought together Imo women from across the United States to elect new executives and chart a stronger course for the organisation’s future. The elections, described by attendees as transparent and inspiring, reflected a unified resolve to scale up empowerment initiatives for women and girls both in Imo State and across the diaspora.

‘A Vision to Empower Imo Women Globally’

In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Onyirimba described IWEC as “a vision-driven project designed to uplift Imo women through education, mental health awareness, mentorship, and leadership development.”

She highlighted the organisation’s commitment to supporting women in Imo State by funding business start-ups, providing school supplies for underprivileged girls, and advocating for women’s rights.

“We are building a network that not only empowers but transforms lives,” she said. “Through strategic partnerships and alliances, IWEC is ensuring Imo women have a global voice and tangible support systems.”
