The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has called for increased private sector involvement to strengthen national security, technology adoption, and service delivery.
Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap, Comptroller General of NIS, represented by Deputy Comptroller General Augusta Obiageli, led a high-level delegation to inspect the facilities of EIB Group in Kuje and Idu, Abuja. The tour aimed to explore operational collaborations that could enhance intelligence-led security operations.
EIB Group Chairman, Dr. Bright Echefu, and senior management showcased the Group’s operational capabilities, including:
“The Group remains committed to supporting government institutions through innovation, professionalism, and strategic partnerships. Private sector participation is key to strengthening institutional capacity,” Dr. Echefu said.
CG Nandap commended the investments in technology, infrastructure, and human capital, describing the facilities as “impressive and reflective of a forward-looking organisation.”
She noted that the visit highlighted how private sector initiatives can complement government efforts to improve security, technology integration, and service efficiency.
The tour concluded with interactive sessions, where NIS officials and EIB Group management discussed potential collaboration areas and long-term engagement to support Nigeria’s security architecture.
“This engagement demonstrates the power of public-private partnerships in enhancing national security and delivering better services to citizens,” Nandap added.
