Nigerian Content Creator Kolu Arrested in UK Over Immigration Incident

Nigerian content creator Kolu has reportedly been arrested in the United Kingdom following an altercation with UK immigration authorities, sources say.

The incident was highlighted by popular Nigerian musician Candy Bleakz in a video on her Instagram page. She disclosed that Kolu had travelled to the UK under her sponsorship.

Passport Dispute Leads to Arrest

Candy Bleakz explained that the content creator was detained when he could not locate his passport while preparing to board a flight back to Nigeria.

“I already explained to Kolu that he is going to the UK on my name, and if he does not come back to Nigeria, it is going to have a huge effect on me. So we wanted to board a flight, Kolu couldn’t find his passport… We needed to communicate this to the immigration but instead Kolu go dey fight,” she said.

She added that she had been at the police station since morning, trying to negotiate with authorities to prevent Kolu’s deportation, citing potential consequences on his immigration status.

“I have been at the station since morning trying to communicate with them because I don’t want them to return Kolu to Nigeria through deportation, because it’s going to have a negative effect on his passport,” she said.

The current status of Kolu’s detention and the outcome of the immigration proceedings remain unclear.
