The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of worsening poverty and hardship across Nigeria.
ADC National Chairman David Mark made the comments on Monday during the inauguration of the party’s policy and manifesto committee in Abuja, describing Nigerians’ current struggles as unprecedented.
“Nigerians are suffering today perhaps more than any other time in our history. Poverty stares us in the face,” Mark said.
“Yes, poverty and hardship have always existed, but under the APC administration, the suffering has gotten worse.”
He argued that the policies of the ruling party have compounded economic difficulties, leaving citizens desperately seeking credible alternative ideas and actionable policies to improve their current conditions and future prospects.
Mark urged Nigerians to consider alternatives that would lay a strong foundation for development, insisting that meaningful reforms and leadership change are necessary to tackle the growing economic challenges.
