Osun 2026: ADC Rejects Claims of Endorsing Governorship Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied endorsing any candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election, dismissing viral videos and social media posts suggesting otherwise.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, made the clarification in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja. He described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them.

Abdullahi said the party has released a timetable for conducting primaries to select its governorship flag bearer, which has been widely publicised. “All aspirants are urged to adhere strictly to the guidelines,” he noted.

The ADC spokesperson reaffirmed the party’s commitment to internal democracy, emphasizing a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.

The clarification comes amid growing speculation over political endorsements ahead of Osun State’s 2026 elections, as parties gear up to conduct their primaries.
