Over 40 Phones Stolen in Adamawa After Burglars Hit Charging Shop in Jada

Suspected thieves have broken into a mobile phone charging outlet in Jada Local Government Area, Adamawa State, making off with more than 40 phones, authorities and eyewitnesses report.

The incident occurred at the shop of Muhammad Mai Caji, located along the road to Unguwar Duta’era. Sources said the break-in happened while the shop owner had gone to the mosque to perform the Isha prayer.

Most of the stolen devices belonged to customers who had left their phones for charging. Reports also indicate that cash from the shop’s Point of Sale (POS) system was taken during the burglary, compounding the financial loss for the shop owner.

“The police have been informed, and we are contacting customers whose phones were stolen,” the shop owner confirmed.

Residents of Jada have expressed concern over the rising wave of burglaries in the area, urging local security agencies to increase night patrols and take proactive measures to prevent further thefts.
