Portable Announces Plans to Return to School to Boost Career and Family Legacy

Controversial Nigerian street-pop sensation Portable has revealed plans to resume his education, citing a desire to balance fame with professionalism and better manage his music career.

The singer, known for his energetic performances and street-style hits, shared the announcement in a video on his Instagram page, explaining that his decision stems from a need to set a positive example for his children and ensure his legacy extends beyond music.

“I wan go back to school. I want to finish my education. I dey sponsor people’s children and my own children too. I don’t want my children to [be] mocked that their father is illiterate,” Portable said.

The musician holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, but admitted he never collected the certificate. He emphasized that completing his education would not only enhance his personal development but also improve his career management and interactions with people.

“As I don make am now, I wan go back to school. So that I will be able to manage my music career better, and it will also help in my dealing with people,” he added.

Portable’s decision has sparked discussions online, with fans expressing support for his educational ambition while praising his commitment to family values.
