Prince Eze Madumere Clocks 61

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, will clock 61 Friday, July 4, 2025.

Prince Madumere served under Rochas Okorocha’s administration as the Chief of Staff, Government House, and would later become the Deputy Governor of Imo State in 2013.

Madumere is remembered for his effort working in concert with the security agencies under Okorocha’s administration to restore the security of the state during dark days of wanton kidnapping and armed robbery.

The administration was able to restore peace in the state with its security program called Operation Rescue/Osheebe.”

Madumere also survived impeachment onslaught through the courts. His impeachment attempt was a result of his stance against Okorocha’s move to succeed himself with his son in a law, an attempt that was wholly rejected by thw good people of Imo State.

Madumere, despite his loyalty to All Progressives Congress, remains one of the few founding members of the party whose contributions and experience have neither been recognized nor sought for service at any layer of the government.

The former Deputy Governor of Imo State in his previous birthdays had always used Special Homes and Correctional Centre visits as the high point of his Thanksgiving.

This is not unconnected with his past history before the emergence of Rochas Okorocha’s administration where he was put in awaiting trial among 18 others as a political prisoners for no cause at all.

According to him, he appreciated the sufferings of the inmates because of the scum and unkempt nature of the place. He vowed to make contributions towards making it more human friendly and healthier. Ever since, he not failed putting in appearance and making donations to the centre.

While sharing the same birthday remembrance with the United States of America, Madumere’s loyalists have concluded arrangements to make the day a memorable one.
