Something Is Deeply Wrong – Pastor Enenche Blasts Benue Massacre as ‘Agents of Hell

A searing rebuke came from Dunamis International’s Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche, during Monday night’s Commanding The Day Midnight Prayers. He condemned the slaughter of over 200 people in Yelwata, Benue State, as a spiritual and national calamity, declaring that something is fundamentally broken across the nation.

Describing the massacre as “one of the worst in our recent history,” Enenche said the attackers were “non-human,” devoid of conscience, and “almost one and the same with the devil.” He warned that such brutality plunges Nigeria into an atmosphere of gloom, doom and relentless bloodshed.

The pastor expressed grief for Yelwata and the wider Nigerian family, saying: “Something is wrong somewhere… massive failure from government and citizens at all levels.” He demanded accountability, asserting the military and legislative bodies must no longer treat this as business as usual.

Enenche invoked his time in the Czech Republic during a crusade, saying he was stunned to learn that agents of death “from hell” had descended upon a peaceful farming community. The attack, he charged, targeted defenseless families and innocent children—“They killed and set some people on fire alive”.

Calling the military “one of the best in the world,” Enenche questioned whether they now lack capacity or will, challenging both leaders and citizens to stop waiting. “Time for things that need to be done must be done at all costs,” he declared.

His fiery pronouncement echoes earlier outcries: in April, the pastor described killings across Benue, Plateau, Jos, and Maiduguri as blood flowing like water while leaders remain silent—an assertion met with widespread social media support and solidarity.

With Yelwata in flames and over 200 lives lost, Pastor Enenche’s call for bold action—spiritual, civic, and military—resonates like a drumbeat across a nation under siege. As government delays mount and people perish, his question remains: will Nigeria rise before it’s too late?
