New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain, Buba Galadima, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration of lacking the political will to conduct credible elections in 2027.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Monday, Galadima alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government is employing tactics aimed at destabilising opposition parties ahead of the polls.
“This government is not ready to organise a free and fair election. From their antics and how they are destabilising parties, that suggests they don’t want an opposition at all for the election,” he said.
The outspoken NNPP leader warned that unless the government changes its approach, it risks being rejected by Nigerians at the ballot box.
“I want to assure them that there will be opposition, and if they don’t change their style of governance, they will lose this election,” Galadima added.
His comments come amid increasing political realignments across Nigeria, with opposition parties working to strengthen their base ahead of the 2027 general elections.
