Tiwa Savage Declares Loyalty to Davido: “I Would Never Betray You”

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has publicly reaffirmed her loyalty to Davido, vowing never to betray the DMW boss despite their past fallout.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, the “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker addressed the controversy that erupted in January 2024 when she filed a petition against Davido for allegedly threatening her life. The clash followed her viral photo with Sophia Momodu—Davido’s first baby mama—at the height of his custody battle with Sophia.

Savage, however, struck a reconciliatory tone during the interview, stressing her admiration for Davido and dismissing any notion of rivalry.

“I haven’t spoken to Davido, but I do want you to know that I love you and I would never betray you or take side,” she said.

Her statement is the latest twist in a year-long saga that captivated Afrobeats fans, with both artists maintaining massive global followings.
