Former militant leader and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has dismissed claims that he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government demanding the release of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Tompolo described the circulating reports as false and malicious, insisting they were fabricated by detractors seeking to tarnish his image and undermine his ongoing efforts to curb oil theft in the Niger Delta.

In a statement signed by his media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo made it clear that he has no involvement whatsoever in the issue surrounding Nnamdi Kanu.

“The attention of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, has been drawn to the falsehood circulating on social media. We wish to state unequivocally that Tompolo did not author or endorse the said publication,” the statement read.

Bebenimibo added that the misinformation was the handiwork of “enemies who are uncomfortable with Tompolo’s success in the fight against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta.”

According to the statement, these individuals “have failed and will continue to fail because he will not relent in his duty to eradicate oil theft and protect Nigeria’s economic assets.”

Tompolo also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging continued cooperation with the Federal Government to achieve its objectives.

He said, “We wish to reassure the Federal Government, led by our dynamic President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that Tompolo stands firmly with him and will continue to support the renewed hope agenda of his government.”
