Trump Floods Truth Social With Over 30 Posts After Democrats Sweep Key Elections

Former president shares flurry of bizarre AI-generated videos, reignites global controversy

Donald Trump went on a social media blitz Wednesday evening, unleashing more than 30 posts on Truth Social within three hours — a digital frenzy that came less than a day after Democrats scored major victories in elections across the United States.

Between 4:17 p.m. and 6:40 p.m. ET, Trump published 33 posts covering everything from book promotions to foreign policy threats, alongside several AI-generated videos that quickly went viral.

The timing of the posts, coming after Democratic wins in states including New York, Virginia, California, and New Jersey, has sparked renewed debate about the former president’s state of mind and strategy heading into the 2026 midterm season.

Among the flood of content were a series of videos appearing to show Trump delivering speeches from a podium in an unidentified room. Analysts and users on X (formerly Twitter) questioned their authenticity, and Grok — X’s AI tool — confirmed they were artificially generated.

In the clips, Trump addresses topics ranging from U.S. trade talks with China’s Xi Jinping and Japan’s prime minister to Walmart’s alleged Thanksgiving price cuts. One post read:

“Walmart just announced that prices for a Thanksgiving Dinner are now down 25% since under Sleepy/Crooked Joe Biden, in 2024. AFFORDABILITY is a Republican stronghold.”

The White House, when contacted for clarification, issued an automated response citing “staff shortages resulting from the Democrat shutdown,” an apparent jab at the ongoing budget dispute in Washington.

Two of Trump’s posts reignited controversy over his comments about Nigeria. He repeated his weekend warning that the U.S. would “immediately stop all aid and assistance” if the Nigerian government “continues to allow the killing of Christians.”

Moments later, he pivoted to healthcare, branding Obamacare a “disaster” and “really bad healthcare,” before posting another video calling Democrats “crazed lunatics.” He urged Republicans to invoke the “nuclear option” and end the filibuster.

Trump’s erratic posting spree also featured an image celebrating “one year since elected,” showing him alongside Vice President JD Vance with unnaturally smooth skin and sparkling teeth — prompting further speculation about the use of AI-generated imagery.

The online outburst followed Democrats’ strong showing in state and local races across the country. In New York, democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani made history with a landslide mayoral victory, using viral social media videos to energize young voters.

During his victory speech, Mamdani addressed Trump directly: “I know you’re watching — turn the volume up.”

Trump appeared to respond later that night, posting in all caps:

“TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN WERE THE TWO REASONS REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT.”

Political analysts say Trump’s latest social media storm underscores both his continued influence over the Republican base and growing questions about his judgment amid mounting scrutiny of AI-generated political content.
