“We’ve Nothing to Do with Osimhen” – Juventus Shuts Down Transfer Rumours as Jonathan David Deal Nears Completion

Juventus Scouting Director Giorgio Chiellini has categorically dismissed reports linking the club with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, calling the transfer talk “laughable” and insisting the Serie A giants are not pursuing the Napoli star.

Osimhen, 26, recently returned to Napoli following the expiration of his season-long loan deal with Turkish champions Galatasaray. Although the forward has been heavily linked with a summer exit, Juventus has moved to distance themselves from any involvement.

Chiellini, speaking on Monday, July 1, during a media briefing reported by Habersarikirmizi, made it clear the club had no interest in the striker. “Victor Osimhen transfer? We’ve nothing to do with Osimhen,” he said. “You’ve to fill the pages and report the news. We read a lot of things that make us laugh. You keep talking, we keep working.”

Osimhen, who netted 13 goals in 27 appearances for Galatasaray last season, remains one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. However, Napoli’s €100m price tag has reportedly deterred many suitors, including Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

Juventus, meanwhile, are focused on strengthening their current frontline, which already includes Dušan Vlahović and Randal Kolo Muani. The club is reportedly in advanced talks with Canadian striker Jonathan David, who is set to leave Lille this summer.

Sources close to the negotiations suggest that Juventus see David, 24, as a more affordable and tactical fit for new head coach Thiago Motta’s system. The forward scored 19 goals in Ligue 1 last season and has long been admired by the Turin club’s hierarchy.

While the Osimhen speculation continues to swirl across Italian and European media, Juventus’ leadership appears intent on ignoring the noise and executing their own summer strategy. As Chiellini bluntly put it: “We keep working.”
