Wizkid Requests Asake to Perform ‘Remember’ at His Long-Awaited Wedding

Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid, born Ayodeji Balogun, has revealed plans to have Afrobeat sensation Asake perform at his wedding. The announcement came during a recent Apple Music radio session with DJ Tunez, where Wizkid spoke highly of Asake’s talent.

Wizkid said the hit song ‘Omo Ope’ first drew him to Asake’s music, but singled out ‘Remember’ as his favourite track, insisting it must be performed at his wedding. He lauded Asake as “one of the most special voices from Africa and the world,” describing him as “a blessing to African music.”

The Starboy boss is in a long-term relationship with his third baby mama and manager, Japa P. The couple share three children, two boys and a girl. Fans have eagerly anticipated news of Wizkid’s wedding, which he has teased for several years.
