Emmy-winning actress Zendaya has addressed viral wedding photos of herself and actor Tom Holland that have been circulating online, confirming that they are entirely AI-generated.
The images, which first gained traction on Instagram in mid-February, amassed over a million likes within an hour, sparking speculation among fans who believed the couple had secretly tied the knot.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Zendaya clarified the photos’ authenticity, revealing that even close friends and acquaintances had been fooled by the realistic AI images.
“While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real’,” she said.
The actress highlighted how quickly AI-generated content can spread, warning fans about the challenges of distinguishing reality from digitally manipulated images in the age of artificial intelligence.
This incident underscores ongoing concerns about the influence of AI in shaping public perception and the rapid viral spread of misinformation online, even among celebrity circles.
