2027: Malami Urges ADC Members to Put Unity Ahead of Political Ambitions

Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has urged members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Malami, who is the ADC governorship candidate in the state, warned that no political ambition should be allowed to destroy relationships among party members or divide the opposition party.

He spoke during the inauguration of the 600-member ADC Campaign Council in Kebbi, where he called for reconciliation whenever disagreements or grievances emerge within the party.

Malami said political differences should not become personal conflicts, reminding party members that they would continue to live and interact with one another regardless of the outcome of the 2027 elections.

“After the elections, we will continue to worship together, go to the same markets, celebrate together, grieve together, and raise our children together. No political goal is worth breaking those relationships,” he said.

The former AGF urged members who feel aggrieved to engage in dialogue rather than allow disputes to escalate into public confrontations. He said restoring trust should be a priority whenever doubts arise within the party.

“Where there are disagreements, let us reconcile. Where there are grievances, let us listen. When there’s doubt, let’s work to restore faith. Our diversity must become our strength,” Malami said.

He also called on ADC members to embrace cooperation and respect, saying the party should focus on public service rather than personal interests as it prepares for the 2027 elections.

“Different candidates, one ADC. Different communities, one Kebbi State. Different responsibilities, one common purpose,” he declared.
