2027: Miyetti Allah Threatens to Dump APC Over Bello Bodejo’s Continued SSS Detention

Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has warned that it may withdraw its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections unless its national president, Bello Bodejo, is released from the custody of the State Security Service (SSS).

The Fulani socio-cultural organisation made its position known during a press conference held at Bodejo’s residence in Uke, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Fulani leaders from different parts of Nigeria attended the meeting, where the group expressed concerns over Bodejo’s continued detention and its implications for its political support ahead of the 2027 elections.

Nasarawa State chairman of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Akhajo Abubakar, said the organisation would back political leaders who demonstrate what it considers a genuine commitment to the welfare, development and interests of the Fulani community.

“We did not vote for APC to arrest our leaders. Our votes this time will go to those who want our progress,” Abubakar said.

He also claimed that more than one million Fulani voters are registered in Nasarawa State, but did not provide official figures or evidence to support the claim.

Bodejo is currently facing a money laundering case, while a court has previously reduced the bail bond attached to the matter.

The organisation’s warning adds a fresh political dimension to Bodejo’s legal situation as political parties and interest groups begin positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Miyetti Allah’s position suggests that the handling of Bodejo’s case could influence the group’s political alignment, although it remains to be seen whether the organisation will ultimately withdraw its support for the APC or back an alternative political platform.
