A youth political leader in Imo State, Chima Kafor, has called on young people across Orlu Zone to rally behind Governor Hope Uzodimma as political alignments begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kafor, a former South East National Vice President of the Nigeria Youth Organization, made the appeal in Owerri while addressing journalists on the need for unity among youth groups in the zone.
He stressed that Orlu youths must close ranks and speak with one voice if they want to strengthen their political relevance and development prospects in Imo West Senatorial District.
According to him, Governor Uzodimma has the experience and leadership capacity to represent the zone effectively at the National Assembly and attract greater federal presence.
“This is the time for Orlu youths to speak with one voice. We need sustained and positive political engagement to consolidate the gains recorded in the last few years,” he said.
Kafor added that he is personally committed to Uzodimma’s senatorial ambition, describing it as a pathway to improved infrastructure and opportunities for young people across the region.
He urged youth organisations, student groups and community associations across Orlu’s 12 local government areas to mobilise early and avoid fragmentation ahead of the election cycle.
