BBNaija Season 11: Doyin Tells Housemates to ‘Stop Worrying About Judgement,’ Avoid Being ‘Furniture’

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Doyin David has offered blunt advice to contestants preparing for the highly anticipated BBNaija Season 11, urging them to stay authentic, entertain viewers and avoid fading into the background.

Speaking at the Big Brother Naija Season 11 pre-show media launch in Lagos on Thursday, Doyin said one of the biggest mistakes housemates make is becoming overly concerned about how they will be perceived outside the house.

She encouraged the incoming contestants to express themselves without fear, stressing that trying too hard to protect their image often makes for an uninteresting stay in the competition.

“My advice to the incoming BBNaija Season 11 housemates is, don’t be boring, don’t be a furniture. Don’t be scared of people judging you,” she said.

Doyin further urged the housemates to speak their minds and make bold decisions, even if those choices attract criticism after the show.

“Say whatever you want to say and do whatever you want to do. You will deal with consequences later,” she added.

Beyond creating memorable moments, the reality star advised contestants to learn how to enjoy their own company. She noted that friendships in the house are never guaranteed and warned against allowing loneliness to affect their mental well-being.

“Learn how to have fun by yourself. When you are in that house, you might not have a lot of friends but you need to be able to stand alone and don’t be depressed about it,” Doyin said.

Organisers have announced that Big Brother Naija Season 11 will officially premiere on July 26, 2026. This year’s winner will walk away with a record-breaking N160 million prize package, including N100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV.
