APC Completes 100% Upload of Governorship, State Assembly Candidates to INEC Portal for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has successfully completed the upload of all its governorship, deputy governorship and State House of Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made on Friday by the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who described the achievement as a major milestone in the APC’s preparations for the next electoral cycle.

According to Yilwatda, the ruling party has uploaded details of all 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates, as well as 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates, achieving full compliance with the nomination process on the INEC portal.

He congratulated the party’s leadership, members and candidates across the country, saying the successful completion of the exercise demonstrated the APC’s organisational capacity and commitment to meeting electoral timelines.

“I am pleased to announce that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has successfully achieved a 100% upload of all our 56 Governorship and Deputy Governorship, and 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal,” Yilwatda said.

The APC chairman added that the completion of the nomination process positions the party for the next stage of preparations ahead of the 2027 elections.

He noted that the party’s focus would now shift toward engaging Nigerians across the country while highlighting what he described as the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as part of its campaign efforts.

The APC is among the political parties intensifying preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections, with candidate nominations and campaign strategies expected to dominate political activities in the coming months.
