Tosin Adarabioyo Hails Chelsea Signings Jordan Henderson, Danny Welbeck as ‘Winners’

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo believes the arrivals of Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck will strengthen the Blues both on and off the pitch, describing the experienced duo as proven winners capable of raising the team’s standards.

The 28-year-old centre-back said Chelsea’s latest summer signings will add valuable leadership and a winning mentality to a youthful squad as the club prepares for the new season.

Chelsea completed the signing of former England captain Jordan Henderson after the midfielder mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Brentford. The Blues also secured the services of veteran forward Danny Welbeck from Brighton on a two-year deal.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Adarabioyo welcomed the additions and highlighted the impact their experience could have in the dressing room.

“They bring pure experience. At the same time, they are winners, so they are bringing that winning mentality to the club and hopefully we will continue that winning,” he said.

The defender also admitted that the arrival of the two senior players has changed the balance within Chelsea’s squad, which has largely been built around younger talents in recent transfer windows.

“It’s obviously nice, no longer being the oldest. We have obviously got some more older players and experienced players in the squad,” Adarabioyo added.

Chelsea have focused on blending youth with experience during the summer transfer window, with Henderson and Welbeck expected to provide leadership, composure and guidance as the club targets success in domestic and European competitions.
