Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up about the reason behind his long-running feud with fellow artist Odumodublvck, revealing that the conflict reportedly started from a personal disagreement involving a woman they both knew.
The revelation comes nearly a year after Odumodublvck suggested that their fallout went beyond music, describing the issue as a personal matter rather than a typical rap rivalry.
The tension between the two artistes became public in 2025 after Blaqbonez released a diss track, prompting Odumodublvck to respond on social media that the matter was not simply about music.
“You want to make it about studio. Na lie. We go meet again for the street. You know the level. This is not rap beef. Na me and you for this world,” Odumodublvck wrote at the time.
Speaking during an interview with media personality Rufai Oseni, Blaqbonez explained that the disagreement began after he discovered that a woman he had been intimate with was also involved with Odumodublvck around the same period.
“Odumodu and I were with a girl at the same time but I didn’t know she was with him too around the same time we met,” Blaqbonez said.
The rapper said the woman later contacted his manager, allegedly threatening to damage his career, while Odumodublvck confronted him over claims that he was interfering with his relationship.
Blaqbonez said he told Odumodublvck that he was unaware of the situation and had already stopped communicating with the woman after receiving a message he found unusual. He added that he blocked her and avoided further contact after learning about Odumodublvck’s involvement.
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck later questioned him about the last time he had an intimate encounter with the woman, but he chose not to provide details because he did not want to worsen the situation.
“He sent me a message five minutes after the call that when last did I have intercourse with her. And I told him bro, I don’t know what she told you so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have,” he said.
Blaqbonez described the relationship he had with the woman as a “friends with benefits” arrangement, explaining that they were close but never officially became a couple.
“I can’t say she’s my girlfriend because we didn’t make it official. I called my relationship with her a friend with benefits because we were friends and we were intimate,” he added.
The feud between both rappers has remained one of the most talked-about conflicts in Nigeria’s music scene, with fans previously speculating about the reason behind their disagreement
