Calabar Rovers Set to Appoint Tosan Blankson as New Technical Adviser

Nationwide League One (NLO) club Calabar Rovers are set to appoint experienced coach Tosan Blankson as their new technical adviser ahead of the new season.

Blankson is expected to take charge of the Cross River-based side with the primary task of guiding them towards promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The tactician previously managed Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) club Rivers Angels, where he gained further experience in domestic football.

Blankson also enjoyed success with Delta Queens, leading the club to the NWFL title in 2022.

His coaching career includes a spell as assistant coach of Warri Wolves in 2016, adding experience in both the men’s and women’s game to his profile.

Blankson holds a CAF B Licence, which he obtained in 2017, and is regarded as an experienced coach within the Nigerian domestic football system.

His expected appointment comes as Calabar Rovers prepare for their promotion push. The club will be hoping Blankson can bring the tactical experience needed to secure a place in the NNL next season.
