Reginald Amadi Declares Governorship Ambition, Pledges N1m to Youth Movement at Convention

Dr Reginald Uchenna Amadi has formally declared his intention to contest for governor, announcing his ambition during a youth convention where he also pledged N1 million to support the youth movement.

Amadi attended the convention despite what supporters described as a tight schedule, arriving late and apologising to the young participants before addressing them.

During his remarks, he urged young people to reject the notion that they are merely leaders of tomorrow, insisting that they have a role to play in leadership and decision-making today.

The governorship hopeful also spoke about the economic difficulties facing Nigerians, saying his political ambition is driven by a desire to tackle hunger and economic hardship.

His declaration was met with enthusiasm from supporters at the gathering, who described him as a grassroots-focused leader with a strong commitment to youth development.

As part of his engagement with the youth movement, Amadi pledged N1 million to support its activities, presenting the contribution as part of his commitment to backing young people with concrete action.

The donation and his message on youth leadership formed the major highlights of the convention, with supporters praising what they described as his humility, accessibility and generosity.

Amadi’s declaration adds him to the growing list of political figures expected to seek the governorship of Imo State, as political activities intensify ahead of the next election.
