Former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Frank Mba has officially begun private legal practice following 34 years of service in the Nigeria Police Force.
Mba unveiled his law firm, Frank Mba Legal, in Wuse Two, Abuja, on October 9, 2026, at an event that also marked his birthday.
The former police chief said his experience in leadership, conflict management and the administration of justice would help him continue serving society in a new professional capacity.
Mba retired from the Nigeria Police Force in March 2026, bringing an end to a career that saw him occupy several important positions within the institution.
He served three times as the Force Public Relations Officer, where he was involved in communicating police activities and addressing public concerns. He also served as Commissioner of Police in Ogun State.
Beyond his policing career, Mba has a legal background. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002 and holds a Master of Laws degree with distinction from the University of Dundee in Scotland.
His transition into private legal practice marks a new chapter in his professional life, combining his experience in law enforcement with his legal education.
The launch of Frank Mba Legal also signals his intention to remain active in public service through a different avenue, focusing on legal practice and the administration of justice.
For Mba, the move represents a continuation of his commitment to society after decades in the police, with the law providing a new platform to apply his experience and expertise.
Congratulations to Frank Mba on this new chapter in his career.
