Busha Launches ‘Signal’ Prediction Market Platform for Sports, Crypto, Politics and More

Busha has expanded its digital finance ecosystem with the launch of Signal by Busha, a regulated prediction market platform designed to help users trade on the outcomes of real-world events across sports, politics, cryptocurrency, economics, culture and other trending topics.

The new platform, which is licensed by the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, is now available as a web application. Existing Busha customers can access Signal using their current Busha accounts, while new users can sign up for a Busha account before connecting it to the platform. Users can fund their Signal wallets directly from their Busha wallets using naira, stablecoins and other supported cryptocurrencies.

Unlike traditional betting platforms that require a single prediction before an event begins, Signal allows participants to buy and sell positions throughout the duration of a market. This gives users the flexibility to respond to new developments and adjust their positions as events unfold.

Busha said markets on the platform will be settled using official event sources wherever possible. Where there is no single recognised authority, an internal resolution team will determine outcomes based on the company’s publicly available market resolution policies and consumer protection guidelines. Once a market is resolved, eligible payouts will be credited automatically to users’ Signal wallets, with funds transferable back to their Busha wallets.

The company believes prediction markets are becoming an increasingly valuable tool for forecasting trends because they reflect what participants are willing to support with their money rather than simply expressing opinions. As more users trade, market prices adjust in real time to capture changing expectations, creating data that can complement traditional research, polling and market analysis.

Co-founder of Busha, Olaoluwa Samuel-Biyi, said the platform is designed to unlock the power of collective intelligence. He explained that when people commit to predictions with financial backing, they generate valuable insights into future trends, giving businesses, researchers and individuals another way to understand markets and emerging developments.

Busha Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Michael Adeyeri, described Signal as part of the company’s broader ambition to evolve beyond digital asset trading. He said Busha has continued expanding into savings, payments, cross-border financial services and now technology-powered forecasting, adding that the company aims to build products that help Africans make smarter financial decisions while improving access to emerging technologies.

The launch follows a series of product rollouts by Busha in recent months, including Busha 3.0, an upgraded all-in-one financial app, Busha Business for enterprise cross-border payment infrastructure, and plans to introduce stablecoin-backed virtual Visa cards. With Signal by Busha, the company says it is extending its innovation beyond financial services into market intelligence while reinforcing its commitment to regulated digital finance across Africa.
