Former Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has expressed confidence that Cristiano Ronaldo will reach 1,000 career goals, describing the Portuguese superstar as a “beast” in recognition of his remarkable goalscoring record.

Carvajal made the remarks during an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, as reported by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on X on Wednesday.

“Cristiano Ronaldo will reach 1,000 goals for sure! He’s a beast,” Carvajal said, backing the former Real Madrid forward to achieve the historic milestone.

Ronaldo has established himself as one of football’s most prolific goalscorers, maintaining an impressive record throughout his career. The landmark figure of 1,000 goals remains a major target for the Portuguese international as he continues his pursuit of further achievements.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner enjoyed a successful nine-year spell at Real Madrid, where he won several major trophies and became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer. His performances at the Santiago Bernabéu cemented his place among the Spanish club’s most celebrated players.

Beyond his praise for Ronaldo, Carvajal reaffirmed his enduring attachment to Real Madrid, insisting that his loyalty to the club would remain unchanged.

“I was born Madridista and I will die Madridista,” the Spanish defender said, emphasising his lifelong connection with the club he joined through its youth system before establishing himself in the senior team.

Carvajal has enjoyed considerable success with Real Madrid, winning numerous domestic and European titles during his time with the first team. His achievements have further strengthened his association with the club and its supporters.

The defender also expressed his desire to witness another dramatic comeback at the Santiago Bernabéu, a stadium renowned for memorable turnarounds in European football.

“I’d pay any money needed just to experience another magic remontada night at the Bernabéu,” he said.

Real Madrid have developed a reputation for producing dramatic comebacks, particularly in the UEFA Champions League, where late goals and determined performances have helped the club overturn difficult situations.

Carvajal’s comments reflect both his admiration for Ronaldo’s goalscoring achievements and his continued emotional connection with Real Madrid, as he looks forward to more memorable moments at the Bernabéu.
