Donald Trump Renews Threat to Iran, Says ‘Clock Is Ticking’ as Peace Talks Stall

Donald Trump has again issued a stern warning to Iran, declaring that time is running out as efforts to secure a peace agreement and ease tensions in the Middle East continue to struggle.

The US president delivered the latest warning through a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, where he urged Tehran to move quickly toward a deal or face severe consequences.

Trump warned that Iran should “move fast” on a peace agreement, reviving earlier threats about crushing the country if negotiations fail to produce results.

His latest remarks come at a time when diplomatic efforts by international mediators have failed to produce a breakthrough in the ongoing conflict involving Iran and its regional rivals.

Negotiations aimed at ending hostilities, addressing Iran’s nuclear programme, and restoring safe movement through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz have reportedly made little progress in recent weeks.

Despite the renewed pressure from Washington, Iranian officials insist they are not intimidated by Trump’s rhetoric.

Responding to the comments, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Tehran remained committed to negotiations and had already communicated its concerns to the United States.

“Our concerns were conveyed to the American side,” Baghaei told reporters during a media briefing.

The latest exchange highlights the deep tensions that continue to define relations between Washington and Tehran, with fears growing that prolonged deadlock could further destabilise the region and disrupt global energy markets.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes, and any escalation in the conflict could have major consequences for international trade and fuel prices.
