Turkish champions Galatasaray have intensified their pursuit of Burnley midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu after submitting an improved offer for the Nigerian-born star ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ugochukwu joined Burnley on a permanent deal from Chelsea last summer but could be on the move again following the club’s relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2025/26 season.

According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, Galatasaray have returned with a fresh proposal after their opening bid was rejected by Burnley.

The latest offer is reportedly valued at €24 million, comprising a €2 million loan fee and a mandatory €22 million purchase option, as the Turkish giants look to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new campaign.

The 21-year-old is said to be open to leaving Turf Moor following Burnley’s drop to the Championship, with Galatasaray keen to secure his signature before the start of the new season.

Ugochukwu enjoyed a productive campaign despite Burnley’s struggles, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

Galatasaray are expected to continue negotiations with Burnley in the coming days as they attempt to reach an agreement for one of their top midfield targets.
