Gombe United have set Sunday, August 30, 2026, as the resumption date for preparations ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Savannah Scorpion announced the date in a statement signed by the club’s team manager, Ishaya Usman.
The club said pre-season training will officially begin on Tuesday, September 1, as preparations intensify for the new campaign.
Retained players, alongside other players identified by the technical crew based on their performances during the previous season, have been directed to report promptly for the start of preparations.
Gombe United will enter the new season with promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as a major objective.
The club will be hoping to build a strong squad during pre-season as it prepares for what is expected to be a competitive NNL campaign.
The 2026/27 NNL season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, October 31, 2026, giving Gombe United roughly two months to prepare for the opening fixtures.
