Nollywood actor Laide Olabanji has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his political decision, predicting that voters could reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in favour of Peter Obi.
Olabanji made the remarks in a video delivered in Yoruba, accusing Adeleke of failing to reciprocate the support Osun residents gave him during his political challenges.
The actor recalled the difficulties Adeleke allegedly faced from the APC and said residents stood by the governor despite the circumstances.
“Despite all the problems and battles the APC put you through, Osun people stood by you. Is this how you want to repay them?” Olabanji said.
He further argued that residents were unwilling to endure another four years of hardship and predicted that they would reject the APC.
Olabanji also expressed confidence that Obi would emerge as the preferred choice of voters in Osun State.
“Write down today’s date. Peter Obi will be the choice of Osun people. Note my words, Peter Obi will win in Osun,” he said.
His comments reflect the political debate surrounding Adeleke’s decision and the potential choices of Osun voters ahead of future elections.
