NSCDC Appoints Nasiru Saleh as New Adamawa State Commandant

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has appointed Commandant Nasiru Saleh as the new head of its Adamawa State Command, succeeding Commandant Idris Bande.

Saleh officially assumed office and pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor by strengthening security operations, improving intelligence gathering, and enhancing the protection of critical national assets across the state.

Speaking shortly after taking over the leadership of the command, the new commandant expressed appreciation to the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the confidence reposed in him through the appointment.

He assured officers, stakeholders, and residents of Adamawa State of his commitment to improving the operational efficiency of the command while prioritising professionalism and service delivery.

Saleh also promised to enhance intelligence-driven operations, improve the welfare of personnel, and deepen collaboration with local communities to tackle security challenges and protect lives and property.

The Adamawa State Command’s Public Relations Officer, Amidu Baba, disclosed in a statement issued in Yola that the new commandant had previously served the NSCDC in several operational and administrative roles across different commands before his latest appointment.

According to the statement, Saleh’s wealth of experience is expected to strengthen the command’s capacity to combat crime, safeguard critical infrastructure, and support other security agencies in maintaining peace and public safety across Adamawa State.
