Ohanaeze Ndigbo Celebrates Governor Charles Soludo on 66th Birthday, Praises Leadership and Development

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on his 66th birthday, describing him as an outstanding statesman, renowned economist and visionary leader whose contributions to national development continue to inspire Nigerians.

The congratulatory message was conveyed on behalf of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata, the Global Executive Council (GEC), and Ndigbo across the world in a statement signed by the organisation’s Global Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu.

According to the statement, Soludo’s birthday provides an opportunity to celebrate a distinguished public servant whose career has been defined by excellence, integrity and transformational leadership.

Ohanaeze noted that the Anambra governor’s journey from academia to serving as the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and now as the state’s chief executive, reflects his unwavering commitment to innovation, sound governance and national development.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation also commended Soludo’s administration for what it described as significant developmental achievements in Anambra State. It praised his efforts to promote economic growth, improve security, strengthen governance and preserve the cultural heritage of the Igbo people.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide acknowledges with pride the developmental strides being recorded under his administration and his relentless efforts towards building a secure, prosperous and livable Anambra State. We are equally encouraged by his steadfast commitment to good governance, economic renewal and the preservation of the rich cultural values and enduring heritage of Ndigbo,” the statement read.

The organisation further joined Soludo’s family, friends, the government and people of Anambra State, as well as his supporters across the world, in thanking God for his life and years of service.

Ohanaeze prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the governor, expressing hope that he would continue to make meaningful contributions to the development of Anambra State, Alaigbo and Nigeria.
