Ohanaeze Ndigbo Congratulates Prof. Frances Chukwukere on Appointment as KOMU Vice-Chancellor

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated Professor Frances Ngozi Chukwukere on her appointment as the new Vice-Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU), Ogboko, Imo State.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, Global Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and made available to journalists.

Ohanaeze described Prof. Chukwukere as a distinguished scholar of Linguistics whose academic career has focused on scholarship, indigenous knowledge, Igbo language preservation and the development of education.

The organisation said her appointment reflects her academic credentials, administrative experience and commitment to advancing the education sector.

Ohanaeze also highlighted Prof. Chukwukere’s connection to its Professorial Endowment Chair initiative. The organisation said she is one of four professors appointed under the programme, which was established to promote research, scholarship and the preservation of Igbo language and cultural heritage.

President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata, described the appointment as “a well-deserved recognition of Professor Chukwukere’s accomplished scholarship, obvious leadership qualities and no doubt commitment to the preservation and advancement of Igbo language and culture.”

Mbata expressed confidence that the new Vice-Chancellor would use her academic and administrative experience to move KOMU forward and contribute to the university’s growth.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide wished Prof. Chukwukere a successful and impactful tenure, while assuring her of the organisation’s continued support and goodwill as she assumes leadership of the university.
