France midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni has named three of his international teammates as his picks for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Tchouaméni selected Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé, Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise and Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé among the players he believes deserve consideration for the prestigious individual award.
Speaking to France 24, the Real Madrid midfielder was asked who he would vote for, but acknowledged that several players had strong claims.
“Kylian Mbappé had an exceptional season, and I think he deserves it, as does Ousmane Dembélé after what he produced with Paris and his crowning once again in the UEFA Champions League. There is also Michael Olise,” Tchouaméni said.
Mbappé was praised for his outstanding campaign, while Dembélé’s case was strengthened by his performances for PSG and another UEFA Champions League triumph.
Tchouaméni also included Olise, who has continued to establish himself at Bayern Munich after making the move to Germany.
The 2026 Ballon d’Or race has attracted growing attention as players, former stars and football figures offer their predictions ahead of the award ceremony.
The winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or is scheduled to be announced on October 26.
