VeryDarkMan Calls Out Tinubu Over Osun Election, Demands Free and Fair Poll

Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the presence of several All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and senators in Osun State during the ongoing governorship election.

VeryDarkMan accused the President of deploying senior APC politicians to influence the election, urging Tinubu to allow voters in Osun State to freely choose their preferred candidate.

Reacting to the presence of APC governors and lawmakers in the state, the activist alleged that their involvement could undermine the credibility of the poll. He claimed the political structure around the election was designed to pressure voters and influence the outcome.

“Sending your APC governors and senators to OSUN shows the election won’t be credible and fair,” VeryDarkMan said in a post directed at the President.

In a video shared on Instagram, he further questioned why APC governors would travel to Osun to observe the election if their presence was not intended to influence proceedings. He also raised concerns about what he described as previous alleged irregularities surrounding the election.

VeryDarkMan stressed that his comments should not be interpreted as an endorsement of the incumbent governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Ademola Adeleke. He argued that Adeleke should be judged by his record in office rather than simply receiving support because he is facing the APC.

The activist referenced Abia State Governor Alex Otti as an example of a politician who, in his view, should be able to rely on his performance rather than excessive campaigning.

He ultimately appealed to Tinubu to allow Osun voters to determine the outcome of the election through what he described as a free and fair process, saying the people should be allowed to choose their governor without intimidation or manipulation.
