Nigeria’s long-running recruitment drive for 10,000 police constables has entered its final phase as the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Police Service Commission (PSC) move to conclude the 2020 enlistment process.
The announcement was made on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, who confirmed that candidates can now verify their status through the official recruitment portal.
According to the police authorities, applicants are expected to visit www.policerecruitment.gov.ng to check their selection status and confirm whether they have advanced to the next stage of the exercise.
Successful candidates will be required to print their examination slips and present them at designated centres nationwide for screening and aptitude tests scheduled for Friday, October 29 and Saturday, October 30, 2021.
The recruitment portal will remain active for verification between Monday, October 18 and Tuesday, October 26, allowing shortlisted applicants sufficient time to confirm their details and prepare for the next phase.
Authorities also advised candidates to regularly check their registered email addresses and phone numbers for official updates, stressing that communication regarding the process will be strictly through verified channels.
The Nigeria Police Force reiterated that the entire recruitment exercise remains completely free of charge, warning applicants against paying money to any individual or group claiming to influence the process.
Officials say the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen manpower within the police force and improve national security operations across the country.
