BBNaija’s Uriel Oputa Hits Back at Fashion Critics, Says She’ll Dress How She Wants

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and entrepreneur Uriel Oputa has pushed back against women who frequently criticise her fashion choices, saying she has no intention of changing how she dresses to satisfy others.

Uriel addressed the criticism in a message shared on her Instagram Story, where she told those unhappy with her outfits to focus on their own lives rather than her appearance.

The reality TV star said she is more concerned about her health and wellbeing than meeting other people’s expectations about how she should dress. She suggested that some of her critics would benefit more from paying attention to their own health and wellness.

Uriel also opened up about the personal reason she takes her health seriously. She said her mother’s experience with high blood pressure and stroke made her more conscious of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

She explained that her family history has strengthened her commitment to looking after herself and said she is proud of her current health. Uriel also asked followers to stop giving her unsolicited advice about her lifestyle and wellbeing.

The entrepreneur maintained that her fashion choices are a personal decision and that criticism from others will not determine how she presents herself.

Uriel ended her message by making it clear that she intends to remain confident in her choices and continue prioritising her wellbeing. “I will continue to wear what I want, look how I want, and prioritize taking care of myself,” she said.
