Abia Partners Made in Nigeria Project Office to Host National Products Fair 2026

Abia State has partnered with the Made in Nigeria Project Office to host activities for the National Products Fair 2026, a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting indigenous manufacturing, innovation, entrepreneurship and investment across Nigeria.

The partnership was formally announced during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Made in Nigeria Project Office, led by its Executive Director and National Coordinator, Hon. Nwabueze George, to the Government House in Umuahia.

The National Products Fair 2026 will feature a range of programmes, including the National Products Expo 2026, which is expected to bring together manufacturers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), investors, innovators, development partners and policymakers from across the country. The event is designed to showcase the quality of Nigerian-made products while expanding market access for local businesses.

Receiving the delegation, Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu reaffirmed the Abia State Government’s commitment to policies that encourage local production, industrialisation and enterprise development. He said the partnership aligns with the state’s vision of building a stronger manufacturing economy and creating more opportunities for businesses.

Also speaking, Commissioner for Industry and SMEs, Mazi Michael Enyinnaya Akpara, described the collaboration as a major boost for Abia’s business environment. He noted that the initiative would expose local manufacturers and entrepreneurs to new markets while strengthening the state’s position as one of Nigeria’s foremost centres for manufacturing and innovation.

Speaking on behalf of the Made in Nigeria Project Office, Hon. Nwabueze George said the organisation remains focused on building globally competitive Nigerian brands through strategic support for local industries and increased patronage of homegrown products.

“The National Products Fair is designed to celebrate Nigerian ingenuity, connect businesses with new markets and encourage greater confidence in Made-in-Nigeria products. Through our partnership with Abia State, we are creating a platform that will benefit manufacturers, innovators and investors alike,” he said.

Organisers believe the National Products Fair 2026 will serve as a catalyst for industrial growth by encouraging collaboration between businesses, investors and government while showcasing the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of Nigerian manufacturers.
