Charles Okocha Reveals What He Says Helped Him Defeat Portable in Celebrity Boxing Match

Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has credited prayers and spiritual guidance for his victory over street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, in their widely discussed celebrity boxing match.

Okocha spoke about the fight during a Thanksgiving service at Grace Dimensions Ministry in Jos on Sunday, where he reflected on the intense build-up to the bout and what he described as a crucial part of his preparation.

The actor said the rivalry had become deeply personal as the two entertainers traded heated words in the weeks leading up to the contest. He explained that Portable’s aggressive public persona presented a different kind of challenge from what he was accustomed to.

Okocha said his preparations went beyond physical training after Prophet Daniels Maseke intervened with prayers ahead of the fight. According to the actor, the prophet laid hands on him and prayed specifically over the contest.

“The turning point in my fight preparation came through the spiritual intercession of Prophet Maseke,” Okocha said.

The actor maintained that the spiritual support gave him confidence going into the ring and contributed to what he described as his dominance over Portable during the bout.

The celebrity boxing match attracted widespread attention on social media, largely because of the intense verbal exchanges between the two personalities before they eventually faced each other in the ring.

Following the victory, Okocha described the outcome as a result of faith and divine backing. He also encouraged his supporters to celebrate what he regarded as a major victory over a formidable opponent.
