The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Ishaq Yunusa, has been killed by unidentified gunmen along the Itobe–Ochadamu Expressway.

Yunusa was reportedly attacked around 5pm on Thursday near Ojuwo Olijo in Ofu Local Government Area, where armed men emerged from a nearby bush and opened fire on motorists.

The Kogi State Police Command confirmed the incident, saying its operatives had launched an investigation into the killing. The attack has raised fresh concerns over security along the major highway.
