House of Representatives aspirant for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Engr. Ekundayo Ajayi-Femi, has said political representation should be measured by tangible results and responsiveness to constituents rather than public visibility, speeches or campaign-season appearances.

Ajayi-Femi, a civil engineer, real estate developer and entrepreneur, is seeking election to represent Kosofe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election.

Speaking in a recent interview, he said his decision to move from the private sector into public service was motivated by a desire to apply his experience in engineering, construction and business to addressing development challenges in the constituency.

According to him, his professional background has influenced his approach to leadership, planning and problem-solving.

“Engineering teaches you to think about problems in practical terms. You have to understand what is wrong, work within real constraints, plan properly and follow through,” he said.

Ajayi-Femi described Kosofe as a constituency with considerable human and economic potential, but noted that it continues to face challenges relating to infrastructure, employment, education, healthcare and access to opportunities.

He identified infrastructure and sustainable community development, youth and women empowerment, education and human capital development, economic opportunities, and improved healthcare access as key priorities in his proposed agenda.
