Raphinha, Mbappé Lead Europe’s Top 10 Goal Contributors as 2026-27 Season Takes Off

Raphinha and Kylian Mbappé are setting the pace among Europe’s most productive attackers after the opening weeks of the 2026-27 season, with both players recording nine goal contributions across the continent’s top five leagues.

The ranking, published by Planet Football on Wednesday, combines goals and assists from the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1. Players level on contributions are separated by their goal contribution per minute.

Barcelona winger Raphinha tops the list with six goals and three assists. The Brazilian has taken on a bigger attacking role for Barcelona and has formed a strong understanding with teenage star Lamine Yamal.

Mbappé sits second with seven goals and two assists. The Real Madrid forward continued his strong start by scoring in the club’s 3-2 win over Elche before setting up Carlos Espí for a dramatic stoppage-time winner.

Rayo Vallecano forward Sergio Camello and veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are next, with seven contributions each. Camello has scored six goals and provided one assist, matching his best-ever league tally, while the 37-year-old Aubameyang has five goals and two assists and has scored in every appearance so far.

Donyell Malen, Mariano Díaz and Chelsea forward João Pedro all have six contributions. Malen’s six goals are particularly notable because he has needed only 255 minutes to reach the mark, averaging a goal every 42 minutes. João Pedro, meanwhile, is the only Premier League player in the top 10, with three goals and three assists.

Barcelona also have two other players on the list. Fermín López has four goals and two assists, while Yamal has scored six times in La Liga and added two Champions League assists. Espanyol’s Roberto Fernández completes the top 10 with six goals, including a brace against Levante.

With Raphinha and Mbappé already producing at a remarkable rate, the early-season numbers suggest a fascinating battle for individual attacking honours as the 2026-27 campaign gathers pace.
